Radiotherapy for advanced lung cancer can cause side effects such as tiredness and feeling sick. This type of radiotherapy won't make you radioactive.

Internal radiotherapy (brachytherapy)

Internal radiotherapy means giving radiotherapy to the cancer from inside the body. You might have internal radiotherapy if the cancer is blocking or partly blocking an airway.

Radiotherapy to the brain

You might have radiotherapy to the brain if your lung cancer has spread there.
