Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy uses anti cancer (cytoxic) drugs to destroy cancer cells. It can shrink a tumour before surgery or radiotherapy. Or you can have it alongside radiotherapy. This is called chemoradiotherapy.

Sometimes you have chemotherapy to treat advanced cancer, or cancer that has come back.
