Getting diagnosed with bone cancer
You usually start by seeing your GP. They will examine you and might refer you for tests or to a specialist. If the tests show that you have a cancer, you have more tests to find out how big it is and whether it has spread. This is called staging.

Screening means testing people for early stages of a disease before they have any symptoms.
Tests for bone cancer
You usually have a number of tests to check for cancer that starts in the bones. This includes scans and having a sample of bone tissue taken (a biopsy).
